Break ups and BlackBerrys.

The BlackBerry
So my Sweet Sixteen was Wednesday! It was a great day! I woke up in the morning and made myself some oatmeal -my favorite food- and then mom told me to get dressed so that she could take pictures of me opening my gift. I was not impressed. I did not look even half-way decent in any of the pictures, so they will not be posted on this blog. If would like to see them, you can read my mothers. Anyway, when I opened my gift, my life was changed drastically. It wasn't the gift that I asked for...it was better! I got a cell phone! A BlackBerry Curve, to be specific. I love it! It has very quickly become an essential part of my everyday being. Because you know me and my family, I'm sure that you were absolutely shocked by the fact that a Baughman kid owns a cell phone. You may not even believe it! I know I didn't. Since I got my cell phone (i just love saying that!) on Wednesday, I have been able to surprise my parents with the amount of text messages I have been able to send. Day 1: 1,200 text messages. From the time I figured out how to even send a text (which took quite a while), to the time I went to bed, I had 1,200 text messages. Let's just say that my parent's are very glad that they went with unlimited texting on my plan... ;)
That evening, Daddy took Lauren, Makenna, and I out to dinner. We got ourselves all dressed up, and went to a nice little restaurant called La Bocca. We all have some very tasty pasta! It was a lovely evening, and we all had a fabulous time!

The Break Up
I'm going to start off by saying that this break up has nothing to do with me. I am not in any kind of relationship right now. This is about my best friend and her boyfriend ex-boyfriend of 20 months.
Last night was another party night for me. Well, every day this weekend has been, but last night's party was at Lydia's house. We were all having a good time and hanging out. It was the usual party group, and we were all just chillin. Long story short, Tyler got upset that other boys were there, and their relationship ended with that. You would think that after being with someone for 20 months, you would start to trust them, but I guess that's not Tyler. Thankfully Lydia has some very supportive friends. It's going to us that gets her through the hard months ahead. Right now, the only goal is whatever Lydia wants. If that's a distraction, then she's getting a distraction. If that's a shoulder to cry on, she's got 10 available. All that we want is be there for her. I'm pretty sure I cried as much as she did last night. Not because they broke up, but because she was heartbroken. It's a terrible feeling to know that no matter what, you aren't able to make everything better for your best friend. I wanted to take all of that pain away, so that she didn't have to hurt. Unfortunately, that isn't possible. Seeing your best friend go through something like that is truly a horrible thing. I don't want to see it again, but I guess heartbreak is just part of life. It happens to everyone, and your job is to be there for your friends when it happens to them. I am doing my best to help Lydia through this hard time, and so are all of her other friends. This came as a surprise to everyone, but we have to keep our cool for her. She deserves that from us.

11:11 wishes

Have you ever made a wish on 11:11? It's one of my favorite things to do. I almost never miss 11:11p.m. The night of the crazy party, I stopped dancing long enough to close my eyes, make a wish, and kiss my friend, Jared's phone. If you didn't already know, you're supposed to kiss a clock after you make an 11:11 wish. If the clock still says 11:11 after you make your wish, then it will come true. My wish was that my trampoline would have been put up today. Well guess what, the clock still said 11:11 after I kissed it. My wish came true! Which is good because I told Jared that if my wish didn't come true, I would be dropping out of school, moving to my grandparents' house, growing a mustache, and becoming a construction worker. I don't think that I would look good in a mustache, so thank you daddy for helping me put up the trampoline!
Today was a blast! The whole family got together to help put my trampoline up. The temperature was fabulous, and it only took a few hours to get it up. Once we finished building it, I pretty much never came inside. Surprised? Ha. My entire afternoon was composed of jumping, flipping, listening to music, and texting. Multi-tasking at its finest!
I am now absolutely exhausted! I partied way too hard last night, and I didn't get much sleep. Then today I built a trampoline and spent the whole afternoon on it. -paradise- So I am definitely off to bed for a good nights sleep!I hope your day was as great as mine! Goodnight(:

"that party last night was awfully crazy..."

Hey everybody! So I told you a head of time that I would not have been posting last night because I would be at a party. Well, the party was so much fun! I had a wild night with some interesting people. I met some new friends, and got to hang out with my good friends. We started the night off with a dance party. Lydia, and I were tearing it up on the dance floor. We were legit the best dancers there. No one could top our moves! I guess all of that goofing off at school finally paid off? hmm. We had some pretty intense games of Truth of Dare, and Twister. Momma S. (Stephanie's mom) even got in on some of the fun, until she decided that it smelled like a high school locker room in the basement. I'm not going to lie, it did. Here are some pictures of a few of the attendees.

Family Photo! I call her momma S because I pretty much live at her house part-time. Our weekends are a lot of fun when we aren't in a family fight!

super spectacular birthday extravaganza #2

Happy Spring Break! I hope that everyone has had a truly fantastic Friday! I know I have! Today we had a party in Spanish to celebrate the end of commands week, along with the celebration of all three birthday's in our sixth period class throughout the week. My teacher, Sra. Beyl, made us all cupcakes! She is so sweet. I dressed up today because it was the last time that I would be 15 at school. It was a good day. :)
Today was also great because iTunes put new songs on the $0.69 list! Especially in the country music section. Country music is my favorite! I've been singing and dancing all afternoon!
When I got home from school today, I went into my room and cleaned out my dresser. That entailed moving all of the summer clothes in, and all of the winter clothes out. It was refreshing! I am so ready for summer! Secret! Yesterday when i was walking around outside, I put sunscreen on because is smells like summer, and makes me happy. I painted my toes today, so that tomorrow I can wear flipflops. That automatically means I'll have a good day. Flipflops are the best!
I will not be able to post tomorrow, because I wont be home. There will be a party taking place at Stephanie's house! Stephanie is one of my best friends, and all of my good friends will be there. Well, the ones who haven't left for their Spring Break vacations anyway. I'll put pictures up one day this week.
I'm going to go pick out my outfit for the party. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

super sunny 77

Today was a beautiful 77 degree day! Sitting in school all day was torture, and luckily I wasn't given much homework, because when I got home, I never came inside! Instead, my afternoon was spent walking Brutus, napping on the front porch swing, quaffing lemonade, and wishing that my trampoline was up. Today would have been a perfect day for it, don't you think?
Today was St. Patrick's Day! I trust that everyone found something green to wear. I, personally enjoyed walking down the hallway at school and seeing everyone who went hard-core with their ensemble. I chose to keep it simple, but there's always next year, right?
Tomorrow is the last day of school before Spring Break 2011! I cannot wait! I need a break form school. Of course, a lot of people will be in Florida on the beach, but I will be partying it up right here in G'town! I know you're jealous, but it's okay. Who wouldn't be?
I'm off to get a good nights sleep! My teachers would plan tests on the day before Spring Break. Silly them. Wish me luck. Goodnight(:
